Rest in Peace, Ms. Parker
I adore Dorothy Parker and have always been jealous of her dark wit and work. She was an amazing woman who pulled up a chair alongside her literary male counterparts in the twenties and she owned it.
I’ve known for a long time that I wanted to create an art piece based on this quote of hers:
“That would be a good thing for them to cut on my tombstone: Wherever she went, including here, it was against her better judgment.”
It took lots of tedious work and I am so happy with how this linocut print came out. (I hope you are too, Dorothy. I’m sure you'll inspire more from me.)
